I wrote this last year while our friend Bill Thompson III was in his final days.
Bill was a titan in the world of bird watching. He was co-publisher and editor of Bird Watcher's Digest. Bill was a father and a wonderful songwriter and musician. 2020 has found me playing this song in my head and during my streams a lot. It seems to fit in our times so well. Thank you Bill.

I recorded the song on my very first musical instrument. A piano that my grandpa gifted my mom, brother and me back in the late 60s or early 70s. Bruce Dalzell comes over on occasion and gives it a tuning. It's perfect for the message here.
